Fennerfest 2005: The Lighting of St. Mary's

Together as One – lighting the skies to celebrate Slough's common ground

FennerFest 2005 was launched by lighting the spire of St Mary's Church to celebrate Slough's different cultures and the way we live and work harmoniously together.

From 29th Oct – 5th November multi-coloured, morphing lights on the spire symbolised the spirit of Slough – mixing and merging together to show the amazing mix of cultures and communities that make up our town. The lights will have been seen by upward of 1 million people!

Together as One - Lighting the Skies was inspired by the fantastic mix of cultural festivals at that time of year – Eid, Dawali, All Saints Day, Zaduski, Yom Kippur. [Taken from the FennerFest website]
