A
Venue for the Arts
Saint
Mary's is a large, classically-proportioned building, which
can seat an audience of 500 people. Its height
receives sound readily, creating warm, magnifying acoustics.
As such it is well suited both to vocalists and instrumentalists.
We are located in the heart of Slough; the High Street, with
a selection of restaurants and amenities, is a two minute walk
from the church.
Saint
Mary's is a popular venue for musical and theatrical performances.
Recent performances have included Taplow Choirs and Ulster
Youth Jazz Orchestra. A lunchtime concert is held every
Saturday at 12pm providing a platform for local talent.
Saint Mary has a three manual organ,
tuned to French diapason normal, and a Bechstein grand piano,
maintained at concert pitch.
Saint
Marys
Church provides a designated arts platform for artists who
seek to showcase their work. Launched in 2001
as Young Performers at Saint Marys, the church
is committed to foster talent and creativity through the arts,
and regularly host performing artists, such as the East Berkshire
Youth Choir and Orchestra. We provide a central
venue for the performing arts - be it through the medium
of theatre, chamber opera, dance or poetry. The
church also ministers to artists by providing a series of
workshops, which link experienced artists with recent graduates
and members of the local community in Slough.
If
you are an artist and would like to receive further information,

Marys, then we would like to hear from you: please
