The Licensing and Installation of The Reverend Andrew Allen - Monday 11th September, 2006

We were delighted to welcome our new priest - Father Andrew. After the opening prayers Fr Andrew was presented to the Bishop. The usual lessons, gospel and sermon followed and then members of the church community brought the symbols of ministry and presented them to Andrew: A pitcher of water for baptism, a phial of oil for healing, a bible, the B C P and Common Worship, Bread and Wine, and a map of the southern grouping of parishes. Fr Andrew then took the oath of obedience, signed his licence and was placed in his stall by the Archdeacon.

The Bishop presented Andrew to the people and representatives of the church and community came forward to greet him. After exchanging the peace the Bishop went to the High Altar for Sung Eucharist.
