HARVEST FESTIVAL - "TURN ON THE TAP" CHALLENGE
After our morning service, for our the "turn on the tap" challenge,
we all went as a group heading towards the Thames in Windsor.
The walk was to resemble how far each day people in less developed
countries had to walk to fetch water: even then often dirty
water.
I carried the empty bucket as we strolled past numerous streams
and animals and mostly beautiful scenery.
After 45 minutes we stood by the bridge overlooking the Thames
while my Dad took a picture of us. Altogether there were 14
people on the walk. We found some steps and I went down and
filled the bucket with water. Dad carried it all the way back
to St Mary’s, swept the doorstep and then covered it
with Thames water. Then I had some lunch in the church.
