Sponsored Bicycle Ride, Walk, Run, or Horse ride

This event, on Saturday 9th September, took place in seven counties in this area.
In Buckinghamshire it is organised by the Buckinghamshire Historic Churches Trust (BHCT) which is an independent registered charity, and non-denominational.

The BHCT gives grants for repairs and restoration of Churches and Chapels, which are so essential a part of our national heritage.

The participants are sponsored and visit as many churches and chapels as they can between 10am and 6pm. The money raised is divided equally between the church or chapel chosen by the participant and the BHCT.

Our church of St Mary’s, Slough was open to welcome visitors and refresh them with a drink.

We had five participants, a walker, three cyclists and a dog(Coco) who accompanied the Verger but with his own sponsorship. (He raised £113 this year). The total raised by the five was over £400.
