As a Church, we depend on the generosity of our members and benefactors to maintain the ministry, artistic life, building and church-yard of Saint Mary’s. We have identified the following areas of our work as giving opportunities for those seeking to make donations. Businesses seeking to support the life of our church should contact the Rector for details about joint ventures.

1. Arts at Saint Mary's

Sponsorship for our designated arts platform can range from making funds available for publicity, granting a bursary to waive the fees for young musicians to attend the events or, more practically, by accommodating a young musician. Our opera workshop will also give benefactors the opportunity to sponsor the set and lighting design. Contact the Rector for giving opportunities.

2. Church-building:

Saint Mary's is in the process of adapting its building for the use of the wider community. To receive further information about this project, and how you could contribute to it, contact the Rector.

3. Church-yard:

Saint Mary's is surrounded by a church-yard of almost four acres. It is accessible to the general public day and night and forms an oasis of green in the town centre of Slough. In order to ensure its continued accessibility, we need sponsors for the following:

  • Path lighting
  • Path re-surfacing
  • Park benches and litter bins
  • Notice boards

We also have vacancies for keen gardeners who would like to adopt a metre or two of a border along our paths. If you would like to have some more information about this project, and how you could contribute to it, contact Andrea Sparrow, one of our church wardens.
