The tower of Saint Mary's, affiliated to the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers, contains a fine ring of ten bells with a Tenor weighing 17½ cwt. in the key of E flat. The back eight bells were cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to replace those of the old ring which were broken up when the new tower was built in 1912. One of the earlier bells, cast by Richard Eldridge at his Wokingham foundry in 1619, however, was saved from the melting-pot and returned to its original home in the tower of Saint Laurence's Church, Upton where it remains. In 1950, the eight bells of Saint Mary's were augmented to ten by the addition of two new Treble bells, donated in memory of the Horlick family and cast at Whitechapel in November 1949.
